GEOL 210 - Introduction to Geotechnology Same as: GEOG 210 Credits: 3 Description Introduces concepts in geospatial data analysis and assimilation. Geospatial technologies employed include GPS, GIS, and remote sensing datasets. Provides hands-on experience applying geospatial technology to solve spatial problems and display geographic data.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe how GPS datasets augment traditional maps.
- Manipulate vector and raster datasets in a GIS software package.
- Classify features in remote sensing datasets.
- Apply appropriate geospatial technologies to solve a problem within the student’s academic area of interest.
