A basic course designed to introduce the International Building Code, with emphasis placed on the development and proper use of the commercial building codes.

Student Learning Outcomes

Describe the administrative provisions of the International Building Code (IBC).
Identify the companion codes that accompany the IBC.
Develop an awareness of the provisions contained in the IBC.
Interpret the various tables in the IBC.
Explain the commercial building inspector’s responsibilities.
