THTR 230 - Voice and Movement for the Actor I

Description
Voice and movement technique for the actor. Focuses on developing alignment, coordination, strength, flexibility, and mobility of the actor’s voice and body.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Demonstrate the beginning techniques in the Expressive Actor vocabulary.
  2. Analyze and implement the movement of the body and how to integrate the techniques with the voice.
  3. Create personal exercises and warm ups for improving rehearsal and performance.
  4. Research, analyze, and create roles from classic or modern plays using movement techniques.
  5. Conduct self-evaluation as a primary means for improvement.
