PHYS 110 - Conceptual Physics

Description
Introduction to fundamental concepts and principles of physics. Intended primarily for non-science majors. Integration of lecture and lab designed to satisfy the lab science general education requirement.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Explain Scientific Methods and the relationship of theory, experiment, data analysis and general knowledge.
  2. Apply basic concepts and laws in areas of classical mechanics, waves and sound, light and optics, and electricity and magnetism.
  3. Demonstrate basic experimental skills by setting up and conducting experiments.
  4. Interpret experimental data to examine the physical laws.
