FLOR 108B - Event Balloon Sculptures

Description
Course will address the planning, purchasing, construction, installation and strike of large event balloon decor. Arches, themed decor, props and large sculptures will be constructed.

Student Learning Outcomes

Design balloon décor/sculptures to industry standards.
Demonstrate safe handling of tools and equipment.
Calculate specific quantities for a given project and cost out to formula given (math component).
Plan a proposal for décor for a client to industry standards (human relations).
Select proper tools, supplies and equipment to complete a job to customer’s specifications.
Explain the meaning of vocabulary terms used in the industry.
Select the correct design for a particular venue according to safety criteria, OSHA regulations and fire codes.
