PHYS 180L - Physics for Scientists and Engineers Lab I Credits: 1 Description Laboratory exercises in Newtonian mechanics. Covers rectilinear motion, particle dynamics, work and energy, momentum and collision, rotational mechanics, oscillations, wave motion, and gravitation. Note: Students should also be enrolled in PHYS 180 - Physics for Scientists and Engineers I while taking this lab course.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate basic experimental skills by setting up and conducting experiments.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze data and perform dimensional and graphical analysis of collected data.
- Interpret experimental data to examine the physical laws of mechanics.
Prerequisite: MATH 181 with a grade of C or higher Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
