Description
Analysis of the interplay of forces involved in policymaking at all levels of American government. Assessment of the impact of policy on individuals and institutions.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Differentiate fundamental and current public policy theories.
  2. Evaluate public policy agencies in the decision-making process and their relations with Congress, interest groups, political parties, and the general public.
  3. Evaluate how the federal government perceives, processes, and executes public policies.
  4. Assess how the public policy making process and other factors influence policy choices in the American system of government.
  5. Formulate and complete public policy case studies.
