The development of language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing; structural analysis. Emphasis is placed on speaking.

Student Learning Outcomes

The student will learn the correct pronunciation of the Russian alphabet and will be able to enunciate in a comprehensible manner.
The student will be able to derive the meaning of a simple paragraph.
The student will be able to create simple sentences in order to communicate on an everyday basis stressing grammatical correctness.
The student will learn basic vocabulary related to everyday situations.
The student will be able to write comprehensible sentences using specific vocabulary and grammar.
The student will develop an understanding of Russian culture.
