STAT 152 - Introduction to Statistics

Description
Basic probability and statistical methods with applications (possibly with computers and the internet); correlation, descriptive statistics, experiments, graphical presentation of data, hypothesis and significance testing, linear regression, point and interval estimation, sampling, and/or other related and special topics.

Student Learning Outcomes

Understand and apply basic probability and statistical methods.
Interpret and present data using descriptive statistics and graphs.
Construct point and intervals estimation for parameters based on data.
Conduct hypothesis testing using data.
Analyze data using appropriate statistical analyses such as linear regression.

Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in either MATH 124 or MATH 124E or MATH 126 or MATH 126E or MATH 128 ; or a satisfactory ACT/SAT/Placement Test score
