DESCRIPTION
The Associate of Science Degree is a general transfer program for students who are planning to transfer to UNLV, UNR, NSU, GBC or another baccalaureate-level institution. A secondary objective may be employment upon completion of the AS.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate Scientific Methods and relate theory, experiment, data analysis, and general knowledge.
- Analyze data and perform dimensional and graphical analysis of collected data.
General Education Requirements
TOTAL GENERAL EDUCATION CREDITS: 32
Mathematics (3-4 Credits)
NOTE: Your first college-level MATH course must be completed before reaching 30 total college-level credits.
English (6-8 Credits)
NOTE: Your first college-level ENG course must be completed before reaching 30 total college-level credits.
Natural Science (7 Credits)
One course MUST include a lab. Please see an academic counselor/advisor for appropriate course selection. Course options are listed for flexibility of transfer and are not specific to a four-year degree program. For example, HHP courses listed are for some Health Science majors.
Social Science (3 Credits)
U.S. and Nevada Constitutions (4-6 Credits)
Recommended: PSC 101.

All students MUST fulfill this requirement. Course chosen may also be used to fulfill the corresponding general education or special program requirements.

TOTAL SPECIAL PROGRAM CREDITS: 28
Core Requirement (18 Credits)
Students MUST take one science designated prefix with a lab. Students cannot repeat courses used to fulfill another area of the degree. See an academic advisor or counselor for appropriate course selection. HHP courses are recommended for health science transfer students only.
Electives (10 Credits)
Please see a counselor or advisor for course selection or the academic map for which institution you are transferring to. All courses must be 100-level or higher.
