DESCRIPTION

Upon successful completion of this certificate program, students will have completed the first year of CSN’s Associate of Arts - Computer Science.

This certificate includes skills in mathematics, communication (oral, written, and listening), computer programming, and computer science fundamentals.

NOTE: This program was primarily developed as a dual-credit high school program. It is the first year of study for the Associate of Arts: Computer Science.  High school students receive dual credit while attending high school and CSN. Ideally, a high school student can complete a bachelor’s degree in computer science in 3 years after graduation from high school. Non-high school students may also pursue this certificate.


COMPUTATION & HUMAN RELATIONS COMPONENTS

  • Computation: Any MATH prefix course (except MATH 104B, MATH 122 and MATH 123)
  • Human Relations: COM 101
