This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Diesel Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, CA.

HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP

The academic map is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the certificate in two (2) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer.

CSN CA DIESEL HEAVY EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN: DESCRIPTION

The Diesel/Heavy Equipment program prepares students to enter the workforce as technicians to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment. Students will learn diesel engine and propulsion systems, fuel management systems, related accessory components, as well as hydraulics and HVAC. All students will be prepared to take ASE certification exams at the completion of the appropriate course.
