This academic map should be used by CSN students who are completing the Paramedic Medicine, CA.

 

HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP

The academic map is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the certificate in two (2) semesters.  Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree, graduate and transfer.

 

CSN CA PARAMEDIC MEDICINE: DESCRIPTION

The objective of this certificate is to train students with the necessary cognitive, psychomotor, and effective behaviors to provide advanced life support in the pre-hospital setting and to provide the necessary coursework to be licensed in the State of Nevada and nationally certified. This limited entry program offers a comprehensive and in-depth study of advanced life support skills which include pharmacology, advanced airway management procedures and skills, ECG interpretation and electrical therapy. After completion of this certificate, students may then choose to complete the next phase of this program and earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paramedic Medicine.
