This academic map should be used by CSN students who have been accepted into the CSN Fire and Emergency Services Administration Program.
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in five (5) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree and graduate.
CSN BAS FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES ADMINISTRATION: DESCRIPTION
This BAS degree is intended for students who wish to develop their managerial skills and further compliment the technical skills they have already acquired at the AAS degree level. The BAS will open up career pathways and promotional opportunities beyond what an AAS degree will provide. Students will complete additional coursework that has been approved by Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) model curriculum. The BAS degree will be granted to students who have successfully completed an AAS degree in Fire Science or a closely related field from a regionally accredited community college and matriculate to complete the core and non-core courses recommended by FESHE.
Student Note: Prior to Semester #1. Complete the AAS Fire and Emergency Services Administration, apply for admission to the Fire and Emergency Services Administration program, and be accepted into the program or receive approval from the Program Director. A minimum grade point average of 2.0 is required to graduate.
