CSN BS Dental Hygiene: Education Specialist Map



WHO SHOULD USE THIS ACADEMIC MAP
This academic map should be used by CSN students who have been accepted into the CSN Dental Hygiene: Education Specialist Program.
 
HOW THIS ACADEMIC MAP IS SET UP
The academic map is set up to show students the ideal path to completing the degree in three (3) semesters. Students who cannot take the map’s recommended number of credits each semester will take longer to complete the degree and graduate.
 
CSN BS DENTAL HYGIENE: EDUCATION SPECIALIST: DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science Degree Completion Program allows associate degree students and licensed dental hygienists the opportunity to build upon their current knowledge, enhance their current professional role, and advance to broader careers to meet the growing public health and education needs in dentistry. The curriculum is designed to introduce students to the expanding role of dental hygienists in public health and education. Graduates of the Baccalaureate program will be qualified for an array of challenging career opportunities in public health, education, administration, research, management, and related fields. The online cohort program is offered part-time to provide flexibility for working professionals.

 

Student Note:  Prior to Semester #1.  Apply to the Dental Hygiene: Education Specialist program and receive approval from the program director to enter the program.  A minimum grade point average of 2.0 is required to graduate.

Lower Division Requirements: 89 Credits. AA or AAS CODA accredited Dental Hygiene Program and Lower Division General Education Credits Awarded (30 credits).   Additional Credits- May be Dental Hygiene course credits (55 credits).    U.S. and NV Constitution - PSC 101 (4 credits).
