DESCRIPTION

Successful completion of this certificate program will provide students with an opportunity to seek employment in entry-level casino and gaming positions. For those currently employed in the industry, this certificate enhances opportunity for job advancement, professional growth and career mobility. Students will obtain a basic knowledge of casino games, as well as casino management, casino marketing, gaming regulations, gaming law and human relations in the casino industry.


STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Explain the terminology used in the casino industry.

  2. Identify the laws, regulations, minimum internal control standards, and policies regarding casino personnel as they relate to various casino operations.

  3. Describe the procedures applicable to the operation of a casino.

  4. Relate the customer service traits, characteristics, and attitude of performing in a polite and courteous manner with both customers and other casino personnel.

  5. Formulate casino marketing strategies.
