AES 111 - AFROTC Leadership Lab I-A Credits: 2 Description Leadership Laboratory (LLAB) is a dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership development activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of prospective Department of the Air Force (Air and Space) second lieutenants and complement the AFROTC academics. It is a student planned, organized, and executed practicum including mandatory physical training sessions. Underclassmen apply and demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have learned.
Student Learning Outcomes 1. Examine the AFROTC training philosophy, customs and courtesies, dress and grooming standards, grade and insignia, and the chain of command.
2. Define the AFROTC Honor Code, effective time management skills, the benefits of exercise and nutrition, and the AFROTC weight and fitness standards.
3. Identify the courtesies and procedures associated with the United States flag.
4. Demonstrate individual and flight drill positions and movements.
5. Identify the Department of the Air Force officer culture and traditions. Prerequisite: Current enrollment in UNLV AFROTC and department chair approval. Corequisite: None Graded: Pass/Fail
