Student Learning Outcomes
- Independently investigate a problem in astronomy by either collecting original data or surveying the available literature. The investigation will employ the following steps: Ask a question, survey the available literature, devise a method to answer the question, collect data, analyze the data, and compose a formal report in scientific style on the findings.
- The student will gain practical experience in the scientific method, methods of finding relevant literature, and reporting results in formal scientific style.
