CLS 493 - Clinical Practicum - Immunology/Immunohematology

Description
Clinical rotation in Immunology/Immunohematology. Designed to gain applied experiences and develop entry-level competencies as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.  Clinical experience may include up to 100% clinical simulation.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Apply CDC and OSHA procedures for safety in the clinical laboratory.
  2. Perform qualitative and/or quantitative testing using immunological techniques.
  3. Perform testing in immunohematology/transfusion medicine.
  4. Evaluate results for acceptability and recommend additional testing as appropriate.
  5. Exhibit professionalism with individuals and teams in various settings.
