CONS 113B - Residential Codes (IRC) Credits: 4 Description A basic course designed to introduce the International Residential Code, with emphasis placed on the development and proper use of residential building, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical code requirements.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe the administrative provisions of the International Residential Code (IRC).
- Identify the four divisions (building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical) of the IRC.
- Develop an awareness of the provisions contained in the IRC.
- Interpret the various tables in the IRC.
- Explain the residential building inspector’s responsibilities.
