CRS 125 - Clinical Practicum II Credits: 4 Description Introduces the critically ill cardiorespiratory patient in the clinical setting. Emphasis on mechanical ventilation, physiological monitoring and other advanced therapeutic modalities.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate proficiency of care and critically ill cardiorespiratory patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency of basic mechanical ventilation principles.
- Demonstrate proficiency in physiology patient monitoring.
- Perform, in accordance with national clinical practice guidelines, various advanced therapeutic cardiorespiratory modalities.
- Demonstrate, in accordance with national clinical practice guidelines, the correct use of various types of cardiorespiratory care equipment.
- Perform patient assessments and interpret the collected data.
