ET 138B - Introduction to Slot Machine Technology Credits: 0.5-4 Description An introduction course detailing the theory and operation of typical slot machines. Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of slot machines and their peripherals will also be covered in this course. This course can be repeated for up to a total of 4 credits.
Please note: For students completing a degree, this course is regularly offered at 3 credits and degree completion requires this course be taken for 3 credits. Variable credit sections of this course are for special populations who may not be completing a degree.

- List the fundamental modes of operation of a slot machine.
- Describe the coin-in and coin-out assembly.
- Demonstrate the proper troubleshooting procedures.
- State various procedures and measures that are taken as a precaution to ESD.
- Demonstrate proper safety precautions.
- Describe the operation of slot machine peripheral devices.
