MATH 132 - Finite Mathematics

Description
Topics include matrix algebra, counting, mathematics of finance, probability, and statistics applied to the analysis of business and social science problems.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Solve problems involving systems of equations using matrices.
  2. Apply linear programming to solve real-world problems.
  3. Apply counting principles to real-world problems.
  4. Perform calculations with probability including Bayes’ Rule.
  5. Perform statistical calculations to include normal or binomial distribution.
  6. Perform calculations for mathematics of finance.

Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in either MATH 124  or MATH 124E  or MATH 126  or MATH 126E  or MATH 128 ; or a satisfactory ACT/SAT/Placement Test score
