MATH 132 - Finite Mathematics Credits: 3 Description Topics include matrix algebra, counting, mathematics of finance, probability, and statistics applied to the analysis of business and social science problems.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Solve problems involving systems of equations using matrices.
- Apply linear programming to solve real-world problems.
- Apply counting principles to real-world problems.
- Perform calculations with probability including Bayes’ Rule.
- Perform statistical calculations to include normal or binomial distribution.
- Perform calculations for mathematics of finance.
Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in either MATH 124 or MATH 124E or MATH 126 or MATH 126E or MATH 128 ; or a satisfactory ACT/SAT/Placement Test score Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
