PHYS 151 - General Physics I Credits: 4 Description General physics primarily for students in Arts and Science, medicine and agriculture. Includes study of mechanics, sound, and heat. A knowledge of right angle trigonometry is desired.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of Scientific Methods and the relationship of theory, experiment, data analysis and general knowledge.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze data and perform dimensional and graphical analysis of collected data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts and laws in areas of mechanics, sound, and heat.
- Solve problems in areas of mechanics, sound, and heat using the algebra-based approach.
Prerequisite: A grade of C or higher in MATH 127 or MATH 128 or MATH 181 Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
