Description
This course provides the students with the methods, procedures and practices used to form stair and ramp structures. State and Federal building codes pertaining to stairs and ramps will be covered in this class.

Student Learning Outcomes

Identify terms, building codes and stair and ramp elements.
Interpret prints and plan views to find dimensions.
Layout and mark stringers for locating stair and ramp elements.
Accurately measure and cut materials to various lengths for required thread and riser members.
Demonstrate proper construction techniques to build a stair and ramp.
