MTT 110 - Machine Shop II Credits: 3 Description Expands skills introduced in MTT 105 to an intermediate level and introduces further skills which include vertical mill, drill sharpening, speed feeds and some production methods. Must take concurrently with MTT 111.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Use standard measuring instruments measure and inspect parts using standard and precision measuring instruments.
- Demonstrate safe and proper setup and operation of a CNC mill.
- Operate CNC mill using proper G-Code programming methods.
- Sharpen or replace various cutting tools.
- Calculate optimum feeds and speeds for CNC machinery.
- Troubleshoot workholding, tooling, speed and feeds, and programming problems.
Prerequisite: FMM 101B Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
