Description Biological basis of heredity and variations among higher and lower organisms using modern and classical concepts of structure, function, and organization of the genetic material.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate the principles of transmission, molecular, and evolutionary genetics.
- Demonstrate competency in solving complex genetic problems including the application of basic probability and statistics to genetic analysis.
- Apply core genetics concepts to understand current genetic issues.
