MOT 205 - Motorsports Transmission Service and Repair

Description
This course studies theory and operation, diagnosis, testing and repair of motorcycle and other motorsport vehicle transmissions, and drivelines. 

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify major parts of a primary drive, transmission, and final drive assembly.
  2. Trace power flow through a primary drive, transmission, and final drive to the rear wheel.
  3. Adjust a primary drive chain.
  4. Measure clutch and primary drive components to determine wear.
  5. Inspect, service, and repair motorsports transmissions.
  6. Remove and replace transmission, driveline, and clutch components.
  7. Diagnose and repair chain, shaft and/or belt of the final drives.
