MOT 205 - Motorsports Transmission Service and Repair Credits: 4 Description This course studies theory and operation, diagnosis, testing and repair of motorcycle and other motorsport vehicle transmissions, and drivelines.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Identify major parts of a primary drive, transmission, and final drive assembly.
- Trace power flow through a primary drive, transmission, and final drive to the rear wheel.
- Adjust a primary drive chain.
- Measure clutch and primary drive components to determine wear.
- Inspect, service, and repair motorsports transmissions.
- Remove and replace transmission, driveline, and clutch components.
- Diagnose and repair chain, shaft and/or belt of the final drives.
