CADD 142 - Technical Drafting III


Credits: 3
Description
This is a Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) fundamentals course. Emphasis will be placed on technical drafting techniques creating and editing 2D/3D geometry, place GD&T annotation on drawings. Multiple techniques will be covered.

Student Learning Outcomes
  1. Apply specific standards “Y14.5” of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).  
  2. Identify Geometric Characteristic Symbol callouts from the drawings. 
  3. Identify the Feature Control Frames callouts. 
  4. Use Metrology tools to verify the manufactured part tolerance that matches the design(s). 
  5. Convert Inches into Millimeters and Millimeters into Inches.
