CADD 142 - Technical Drafting III Credits: 3 Description This is a Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) fundamentals course. Emphasis will be placed on technical drafting techniques creating and editing 2D/3D geometry, place GD&T annotation on drawings. Multiple techniques will be covered.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Apply specific standards “Y14.5” of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
- Identify Geometric Characteristic Symbol callouts from the drawings.
- Identify the Feature Control Frames callouts.
- Use Metrology tools to verify the manufactured part tolerance that matches the design(s).
- Convert Inches into Millimeters and Millimeters into Inches.
Prerequisite: CADD 140 Corequisite: None Graded: Letter Grade
