Description
This course will cover the health effects caused by lead exposure, OSHA regulations, sampling methods, legal rights of workers, the proper use of personal protective equipment and work methods.

Student Learning Outcomes

Comprehend the history of lead, the effects of lead exposure and how lead is used now.
Discuss the regulations in place concerning lead exposure and worker’s rights and responsibilities.
Understand the methods used to identify lead coatings on the job.
Demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
Identify work methods that could expose oneself to lead contamination.
