The course continues to stress the development of basic conversational skills with emphasis on expanding vocabulary and expressive skills.

Student Learning Outcomes

Achieve receptive and expressive mastery of the features of ASL in targeted dialogues.
Demonstrate receptive and expressive mastery of a set of targeted vocabulary items including lexicalized fingerspelling.
Employ strategies for conversation regulators in ASL.
Express self-generated short stories, narratives, etc., in ASL.
