Student Learning Outcomes
Independently investigate a problem in the biological sciences by either collecting original data or surveying the available literature.
The investigation will employ the following steps: Ask a question; Survey the available literature; Devise a method to answer the question; Collect data; Analyze the data; Compose a formal report in scientific style on the findings.
The student will gain practical experience in the scientific method, methods of finding relevant literature, and reporting results in formal style.
