- Describe corrections facilities in terms of structure, security, management, and treatment of correctional populations.
- Describe how the concept of punishment has evolved over time.
- Apply laws and sentencing criteria to determine appropriate criminal sentences.
- Analyze trends and issues currently facing correctional systems in the United States and describe the impact they have upon management of offenders.
