Description
This course will provide an understanding of the laws, court decisions and legal procedures for the law enforcement officer. Students will learn the legal framework necessary for law enforcement officers to conduct their duties legally.

Student Learning Outcomes

Review legal requirements to do law enforcement within the law.
Understand statutory law, substantive law, case law and the application of law.
Understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Learn the major cases related to procedural law.
