EE 190 - Electrical and Computer Engineering Freshman Design Credits: 1 Description This course is an introduction to history and overview, as well as design principle in electrical and computer engineering. It covers: a) working safety; professional ethics lectured by guest engineers from local industries; b) various branches of electrical and computer engineering lectures lectured by various professors; c) construction and test of various electrical circuits and computer system.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Understand the safety procedure in electrical/electronic working environment.
- Understand the professional ethics as an electrical engineer.
- Understand the basic design procedure for electrical and computer systems.
- Understand the basic concepts of electric and digital logic circuits.
- Build and test basic electrical and digital logic circuits.
- Use multi-meter, power suppliers, function generator, and oscilloscope.
- Use Multisim to simulate and solve basic electrical and digital logic circuits.
