Description
This course introduces the basic concepts of disaster response and recovery. Concepts include the roles and responsibilities of emergency management stakeholders. Describes how roles and responsibilities differ in response versus recovery.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Differentiate the roles and responsibilities of key local, state, and federal authorities governing emergency incidents and disasters.
- Identify sources of assistance for the special needs of disaster victims and relief workers.
- Describe the advantages of community relations program options.
