Description
Instructs in the assessment and management of the critical trauma patient according to national PHTLS format. Course is ALS in format, but may be suitable for very experienced Intermediate level providers. Class is offered in seminar format over two days.

Discuss and apply current Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) standards for advanced trauma care
Discuss and apply current therapeutic modalities as they apply to trauma patients
Recognize and appropriately treat patients according to PHTLS standards
Work in a team atmosphere and function as a team leader when called upon
Project a positive and professional demeanor while in the classroom and laboratory setting
