Description
The study of poetry writing methods and forms with concentration on the student’s creative writing. This course can be repeated once for credit.

Student Learning Outcomes

Optimize language usage in poem construction.
Apply various elements of theme, structure, figurative language, and persona in their own poems.
Enhance creative and critical thinking skills through writing in prose and poetry.
Develop editing and communication skills through peer group collaboration and individual written and/or oral presentation.

Prerequisite: ENG 205 or Instructor approval
