This course introduces the emerging technologies for online teaching and learning. The list of technologies is subject to change based on professor discretion, as the course progresses, in terms of both additions and deletions of technologies. Technologies include: Web-Blogs, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), and Podcasts.

Student Learning Outcomes

Understanding and reflecting on the role of technology in their own lives as learners (personal and professional) and as an educational tool.
Use a variety of online communication tools to collaborate with others including: Web Blogs, voice over internet protocol (VOIP), and Podcasts.
Evaluate new developments in online educational technologies.
Discuss future issues relating to the uses of technology in DE.
Develop a unit of instruction that incorporates an emerging technology.
