ITAL 221 - Italy and Its Culture Credits: 3 Description Introduction to Italian Culture and its influence on the World Community: a general examination of Italy’s physical, historical, political, and administrative identity. An introduction to and assessment of the contributions of its major achievers in various areas of human endeavor: Art, Religion, Science, etc. A glance at Italy’s popular culture as reflected in its films and other documents of contemporary daily life. Taught in English, no knowledge of Italian required.

- Knowledge of Italy’s governmental structure: its constitution and administrative units.
