Description
Fundamentals of constructing electrical circuits, measuring their predictable parameters, using measuring instruments and materials needed to maintain and repair electrical systems. Students in this course should have a working knowledge of algebra.

Student Learning Outcomes

Describe the different types of electricity and their applications in test situations.
Define important terminology and characteristics of various electrical circuits in a written test.
Identify different electrical parts in a hands-on lab test and describe their functions and operations.
Describe different laws in electricity through examples.
Explain basic electrical logic diagrams and perform troubleshooting.
Construct series, parallel and combination circuits.
Troubleshoot circuits using Ohm’s law and Watt’s law (Math component).
Develop positive attitudes toward work and service to others (Human relations component).
