Description
Explores photographing people in a variety of environments. Students will study, practice, and produce portrait techniques of individuals, couples, and various other groupings. Special emphasis will be placed on creating professional caliber images suitable for portrait studio sales. All images created will be printed and mounted according to portrait industry standards.

Select lighting techniques appropriate to their subject’s physical characteristics.
Use light modifiers to emphasize or de-emphasize subject’s characteristics.
Use posing techniques appropriate to subject’s physical characteristics.
Produce professional-level images suitable for display in retail studio environment.
Counsel clients to help them choose appropriate type of portrait session.
