Description
This lecture/lab course includes an overview of the collision industry, instruction in safe shop procedures, measurement, vehicle disassembly, and estimating software and techniques. Successful students will earn I-CAR certification points.

Student Learning Outcomes

Complete SP/2 Safety certifications.
Identify and utilize VIN codes, service and estimating information.
Locate control points, perform measurements, calculate costs and prepare estimates. (Math Component)
Safely use hand and power tools, shop equipment, and vehicle lifts.
Identify vehicle construction and frame types.
Inspect vehicles for damage, remove and replace body panels.
Pass the associated I-CAR certifications.
Develop positive attitudes towards work and service to others. (Human Relation Component)
