Student Learning Outcomes
- Evaluate strategies of cultural awareness for behavior change in specific populations.
- Appraise disabilities requiring special accommodations or adaptation that may be required during dental hygiene treatment.
- Explain the etiology and risk factors for disabilities and disease.
- Evaluate patient signs and symptoms which could signal the onset of a medical emergency.
- Evaluate populations for factors that put them at biological and social risk for disease.
- Determine barriers that limit access to health care services for diverse populations
- Appraise information literacy and research skills
- Critique self-reflection to assess professional growth.
