DT 138 - Diesel Engine Repair II Credits: 4 Description Students study components, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of modern diesel engines with a specific focus on intake, fuel delivery, and exhaust systems. This course prepares the student for the ASE T2 certification exam.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Safely perform diesel engine diagnostic tests and correctly diagnose diesel engine related malfunctions.
- Utilize written and electronic service information.
- Identify, maintain, diagnose, and repair air induction and exhaust retarding systems.
- Identify, maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanically and electronically controlled fuel systems.
- Pass ASE T2 certification.
Prerequisite: DT 136 or Instructor approval
