Description
Students study components, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of modern diesel engines with a specific focus on intake, fuel delivery, and exhaust systems. This course prepares the student for the ASE T2 certification exam.

Student Learning Outcomes

Safely perform diesel engine diagnostic tests and correctly diagnose diesel engine related malfunctions.
Utilize written and electronic service information.
Identify, maintain, diagnose, and repair air induction and exhaust retarding systems.
Identify, maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanically and electronically controlled fuel systems.
Pass ASE T2 certification.

Prerequisite: DT 136 or Instructor approval
