FMM 143B - Mechanical Systems II Credits: 4 Description Continuation of FMM 141B . This course covers the installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical drive components covered in Level I in greater detail. There is a stronger concentration of hands-on tasks.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Describe advanced mechanical drive systems.
- Design a belt, chain, and gear drive system.
- Design a drive system using couplings and shafts.
- Analyze bearings and linear bearings.
- Demonstrate laser alignment, lubrication, and vibration analysis.
Prerequisite: FMM 141B with a grade of C or higher
