Description
Continuation of FMM 141B. This course covers the installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical drive components covered in Level I in greater detail. There is a stronger concentration of hands-on tasks.

Student Learning Outcomes

Describe advanced mechanical drive systems.
Design a belt, chain, and gear drive system.
Design a drive system using couplings and shafts.
Analyze bearings and linear bearings.
Demonstrate laser alignment, lubrication, and vibration analysis.

Prerequisite: FMM 141B with a grade of C or higher
