Overview of Multimedia design and development. Emphasis on how to design real world interactive projects that combine text, graphics, animation, audio, video, and more. Hands-on projects using popular multimedia authoring software for publishing to CD, DVD, and the Web.

Student Learning Outcomes

List, define, and describe the terminology and concepts related to multimedia design and development.
Understand the multimedia production process including how to create a flowchart, storyboard, and popular publishing options.
Import graphics, animation, audio, and video files into a multimedia project.
Use the tools and features of a popular multimedia authoring program to produce CD, DVD, and Web-based multimedia projects.
Add basic interactivity to multimedia projects using a popular multimedia scripting language.
Produce a real world multimedia project for a client.
