Description
This course prepares students to use Italian language in an increasing variety of contexts by expanding on vocabulary and sentence structure while developing paragraph-level writing. Further development of intercultural competence.

Communicate in Italian, both orally and in writing, about an increasing variety of familiar topics using sentence-level discourse.
Present information about an increasing variety of familiar topics, both orally and in writing, using sentence-level discourse.
Infer meaning within simple texts and common contexts, both listening and in reading.
Interpret common practices, perspectives, and products of Italian culture in relation to the students’ own cultural background.

Prerequisite: ITAL 112 or Department approval
