Description
A performance-based class intended to provide the student with a general knowledge in the art of playing steel drums and percussion instruments related to the steel drum band.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to perform in a concert setting on the various instruments within the steel drum band.
Students will be exposed to the national instrument of Trinidad, thus learning and experiencing a different culture.
Students will experience different learning styles in the course of rehearsals. These styles will include reading printed arrangements, scale and technique studies, as well as rote learning.
