PHO 154B - Digital Photography for the Novice I Credits: 3 Description This course is an introduction to the mechanics and use of traditional photographic language applied to the digital format. It will cover digital image capture, image downloading to computer, downsizing images, emailing, and posting them to the web. This class is a very BASIC class meant for people new to digital technology.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate academic principles related to camera function by successfully operating the digital camera (image capture).
- Demonstrate principles related to exposure by successfully exposing digital images.
- Download the digital image to the computer.
- Post digital images online for critique
- Demonstrate creative and technically correct photographic composition.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions on assignment specifications and produce work due at given critique dates.
